The Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad hosts a one-day living history event in conjunction with the Washington State Civil War Association. Travel the forest and foothills of Mt. Rainier on a steam train ride accompanied by re-enactors. At our destination in Mineral you'll feel like you've stepped back into a bygone era when you witness a brief skirmish between the rebels and the union soldiers. You?ll also have time to visit the new railroad logging camp museum and see the world?s most comprehensive collection of steam logging locomotives.
