Business After Hours

Join us for a fun evening with food, refreshments and networking at the Tacoma Power office.  Information stations will show some of the ongoing projects at the Cowlitz River Project.  Finish the evening with an optional bus tour of Mayfield Lake Park, Mossyrock Dam and Mossyrock Park.

Tacoma Power received a new 35 year federal license to operate the Cowlitz River Project which includes Mossyrock and Mayfield dams, the Salmon and Trout hatcheries, and Mayfield Lake, Mossyrock and Taidnapam parks in July of 2003. The new federal license was based on a comprehensive Settlement Agreement between Tacoma Power, Federal, State and County agencies, the Yakima Nation, and conservation groups.

Tacoma Power is in the process of implementing the license requirements which include significant improvements to a number of the Project facilities including a major rebuild of the Cowlitz Salmon Hatchery, the addition of 100 campsites to Taidnapam Park, installation of a fish guidance screen at Lewis County’s Cowlitz Falls Project and others.  Tacoma is also in the process of replacing the generators at the Mossyrock Powerhouse and completing automation upgrades at both Mayfield and Mossyrock.

You are invited to visit the Cowlitz River Project and learn more about the improvements taking place. Tacoma Power will be offering a bus tour of Mayfield Lake Park, Mossyrock Dam and Mossyrock Park.  The event will be open between 5:00 & 7:00 pm, on Thursday, July 19, 2007.  The Tacoma Power office is located at 418 Gershick Road, Silver Creek.

This Ambassador hosted event features a business to the membership, and allows for extensive networking opportunities for business people.  For more information, call the Chamber at 360-748-8885.
